Happy 2024 New Year!!!

Bringing in the 2024 New Year With a Head Start for Your Business

Hello! Welcome to 2024!!!

This is my first blog post and I wanted to share some of the NEW changes with KLS with the new year, as well as share some of my thoughts around new years resolutions and starting off fresh.

To start off, I’d like to introduce myself to anyone that doesn’t know me personally yet. My name is Katie, and I’m the owner of KLS accounting. I am a small business owner (just like you, perhaps) and I moved to Lincoln in 2021. I absolutely love this town and you will likely see me around town at local coffee shops and the many city events. I am proud to be a part of this town and I look forward to contributing and participating in Lincoln activities throughout the year and beyond.

Now, as for New Years Resolutions... Well.. we all know they don’t really last long, and yet, every December I still make a list of accomplishments and goals I have for the new year. This year was no different. I made that list. But I also created a vision board for the first time and put that up in my office so now I have goals that are visual rather than just typed in my “notes” app that I will probably forget to look at next month. A couple of the visual images on my vision board that I am hoping to manifest in 2024 are: learning a new language (at least a few new words!), volunteering more, enjoying quality family time, drinking more green juice and maybe a safari 😉.

As for KLS Accounting- I have some goals for the new year too. One of my goals is to meet more local business owners. I want to learn about their businesses and gain more knowledge about different industries. I also want to continue to focus on creating more processes and procedures to streamline service for my current and future clients so that clients’ bookkeeping needs are seamlessly integrated with their own processes.

The new year presents with it a fresh start and even though “resolutions” don’t last, the feeling you may have of potential and possibilities can last throughout the year. And maybe you have business goals this year that include streamlining processes, or earning a certain gross profit percentage, or outsourcing a task so you can spend more time with family. Whatever your goals are, I wish you the very best and cheers to you all in this brand new year of 2024! Let me know if you’d like to meet for coffee!
